And the journey begins

1 year ago from now, i am still sitting in SCS room performing audit. Now, i m leading life, a brand new one. it was hard at first and there were times you just wanna give up. but once the decision is made there is no turning back. So yes here i am. did i mention that i am in LONDON!!! and yes that's London.

Just to update a little cutting the long story short. I had a hard time dragging my 29.7kg luggage, carrying a 7kg backpack and holding on to a 5kg laptop bag (should have taken a pic of them but i guess they were too embarrass to show themselves). Couldn't imagine how horrible i look dragging and carrying those things around.

Being 'thrifty' and budget conscious, instead of paying a cab driver to drive me to my accommodation which cost £40, i lugged all the things that i had and took a Heathrow Connect which took approx. 20mins to reach Paddington underground station and cost me £8.50. Then I had to change to the Bakerloo line to Warwick Avenue which is only 1 station away (approx. 5mins) which cost me £4. See the difference. Don't say because I am 'kiam' ok. (Kiam = cheapo = scrooge)

I could have saved more by purchasing the Oyster card (a pay as you go card, something like the EZlink in Singapore) instead of buying the single ticket for my trip to Warwick. With Oyster card it will cost me £1.90 instead of the £4 that i had paid. Well it's an experience and lesson learnt.

And so when i reached Warwick avenue, i had a hard time trying to find the house i will be staying. Oh it really is madness. It was excruciating to drag those things around. Really!!! check this out, a bruise on my wrist (cant really show the excruciating effect but the bruise was really red as though one of my capillaries had burst)
and then i finally found it like after 30mins or so when the house is just directly up the slope above the tube exit...oh well at least i found it.

The host and her family is lovely. The estate is clean and nice and safe and pretty and beautiful. The room is awesome with the huge window by the bed. OMG i just love it. geez i realised i sounded very much like a bimbo dun i? haha
anywayz i think i wrote quite a fair bit already though there were super a lot more details to share but then again, long post are boring. so i shall sign off for now. oh btw there were many helpful ppl helping me with my luggage at the tube station (just carrying up and down the tube but better than nothing) and also this very nice lady from Malaysia who helped me carry my super heavy luggage up 3 flights of stairs. yes you heard me 3 flights of stairs. and i tell you at the end of the day, my muscles just hurt like hell.

all right. i shall be gone for now.
