i had invited Andree over to my house to practice on one of our exam pieces which is the lemon tart and ermm it didnt turn out well. we took super long to be done as we werent prepared with the missing items here and there. but my host family were very supportive. host mom said practice makes perfect :) no worries. i had made both lemon tart and apple tart by request of the host. the host kid was so eager to get a taste of my tart but host mom told him off and said it's for tomorrow (Easter Sunday).
I went to church and finally i made it. :) then went home and we had Easter dinner which host dad prepared and it was good :) we had roast lamb, roasted potatoes, kidney bean rice, chicken, etc.. it was good :)
then we had my tarts as dessert which was disappointing as the tart was dry and slightly hard and the meringue was too sweet. the filling were good though. but the tart case is the most important and i had to get it right. :(
as the lemon tart taste horrible in my opinion, i took out the leftovers the next day and wanted to throw them away. the host kid came and said: 'oh so there's the lemon tart. i was wondering where you had kept it.' me: 'i was about to throw it away. it tasted horrible.' host kid: 'no don't throw it. it's all right.' it's so heart warming when you get such support :)
