the Daifuku attempt

i had finally made something other than my 3 daily meals in my new flat today.

it was a busy and tiring day. so much so that...i have yet to shower (i know it's 25mins more to 12mn, don't worry i will definitely shower before i let my body rest on my bed)

today i went out since morning, searched high and low for my baking needs at home (cake ring, palette knife, rubber spatula, whisk) In the end, with all my time wasted, i bought them from Argos. (kinda mad at myself for wasting time)

I had a demo 3 today on Buns, Brioche and Pate Levee Feuilletee. We were taught by Chef N who is the youngest chef in school and i wondered why did he shine so brightly today. so much so that coincidentally, Pat and I actually thinks that he looks pretty suave today.

After school i went to search high and low again which have got no returns. Then i went to Argos to collect my £9.99 mixer and £6.99 springform cake tin. Followed by Sainsbury to get icing sugar and evaporated milk.

I busily made my dinner (the leftover curry using evaporated milk this time instead of coconut milk. it works just fine, except it was less thick)

Finally to the point of this entire post, THE DAIFUKU ATTEMPT!

it turns out pretty much all right except that it needs more work on the presentation and maybe the cooking of the mochi.

ok time for shower then to bed. yawnzzz..super tired.

Oyasumi~
